General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a 3.5-year diploma programmedesigned to prepare students for a professional career in nursing and patient care.
The programme includes three years of academic educationfollowed by a mandatory six-month internshipin hospitals and clinical settings.
GNM graduates are trained to work efficiently in hospitals, clinics, community healthcare centers, and home-based nursing services.
The course focuses on patient care, clinical training, and professional nursing practices.
Students receive real-world exposure in hospitals and healthcare institutions.
Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Biologyfrom a recognized board.
Minimum Aggregate Marks: 50% (may vary as per institute norms).
GNM diploma holders can work in government and private hospitals, clinics, NGOs, and home healthcare services.
